As a general guideline, approximately 10-15 jewelry pieces can typically be reviewed per hour, although more complex pieces may require additional time.

We’ll discuss the size and nature of your collection in advance to help estimate the time needed.

Depending on the pieces, it may include metal testing, weighing, gemstone identification, and sorting jewelry into general categories, such as costume jewelry, pieces primarily valued for their precious-metal content, and those that may deserve additional examination.

We’ll also discuss possible next steps, whether you’re considering keeping, sharing, documenting, or selling selected pieces.

Fee: $100 per hour. This service provides verbal guidance only, without written documentation or monetary valuations.

A Personal Jewelry Catalog is a professionally prepared photographic record of selected fine jewelry and personally meaningful pieces.

Each item is examined and documented with photographs, a description, and identifying details such as metal fineness, total weight, gemstone identification, and approximate gemstone measurements, when obtainable.

The finished digital catalog provides an organized record for your own reference and can be shared with family members, heirs, or trusted representatives. Personal or family history can also be included when provided.

Fee: $150 per hour, including examination, photography, and preparation of the completed catalog.

Catalogs do not include gemstone grading, monetary valuations, or formal appraisals.

If you choose to move forward with a Personal Jewelry Catalog or formal appraisal, information gathered during your initial consultation may be incorporated when appropriate, reducing the additional examination needed.

You’ll only be charged for the additional work required under the applicable service fees. We’ll discuss the scope and anticipated cost before proceeding.
